Spartan 1000 challenge

Yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to attempt the Spartan 1000 challenge. I was wrong hahaha. The challenge is simple in some aspects but daft in others. You have to do 1000 reps of exercise, you can take as many breaks as needed but the clock is ticking from rep 1 to rep 1000. The difficult bit is the exercise combo as you can't change between exercises until you finish the block you're on. So it goes as follows:-

100 Jumping Squats
200 Press Ups
300 Sit Ups
400 Burpees!!!

Finished!

For those thinking what is a burpee, look at the video I made when I went to the Isle of Wight

I had finished my 100 jumping squats in 4 minutes, nice and easy no difficulty there. I then took 29 minutes to do the press ups, maybe not the best to try this challenge the day after working my chest haha. I then did the sit ups in 19 minutes but it felt a lot faster. I did do these off a Swiss ball as I wanted the lumbar support rather than stressing my back off the floor. So how long did the 400 burpees take you're thinking?!? Too long for any form of enjoyment haha. They took 53 painful minutes!!!! So 1 hour 45 minutes later all 1000 reps finished. Today my quads and glutes are aching, and I can feel tomorrow will be my chest and triceps.

Will I try this challenge again? Probably not, will I try the Spartan 300 and Spartan 500 challenges at some point, yeah why not. It's all exercise at the end of the day and I can fit it into my weekly session to give them a blast.
