Carsington Walk

On 24th May 2014 we walked around Carsington Water and it threw it down most of the way around.

It didn't put us off from going back as it's such a nice walk so we returned on 11th April 2015. A few different people this time with some new faces to these walks joining us. We know Jo missed the walk because of holidays and pregnancy but she was gutted thanks to the lunch stop at The Miner Arms. Trust us if you stop here on the walk make sure it's near the end and not the start as the portion size is generous and you will want a nap after rather than walking for miles.

The walk is really straight forward just follow the cycling or walking signs depending which you're doing. They are currently renovating a couple of sections but there are loads of signs so you can't get lost. It's not a simple walk with the hills all the way around but it's a really enjoyable walk and you can just take your time on it and enjoy a nice family day out enjoying what nature has to offer. Next time I'm there it will be for a bike ride for a couple of laps getting some miles in my legs ready for London to Brighton in September for Cancer Research UK.
