Snowdon Trek

On 6th July 2013 I took part in a Trek up Mount Snowdon for British Red Cross. In total there were 200 people doing the trek for British Red Cross which included our little group of 5. Between us we had a Personal Trainer (myself), 2 Red Cross volunteers, somebody with a fear of heights and a horse rider. This weekend was going to be funny and a good challenge all rolled into one.

Day one included a little stop at Llandudno to make sure we have all our provisions and chill before we set up the tents at Llanberis. Seeing as we are all from Derbyshire we quickly turned into big kids when the sea and beach came into view. Stones were skimmed and names written in the sand haha.

Onwards to Llanberis to set up the tents!! Not easy in a camp site that had more slopes than flat sections and cars getting stuck, plus more midges than I've ever seen in my life!!! Saying that, the view was fantastic.

Saturday morning quickly arrived and that meant one thing, Trekking time!!! Bring it on :) With my bag packed with nuts, Jaffa cakes, phd protein bars, Zero High 5 tablets for rehydration with water it was time to go. Seeing as the sun was out all day, I will let the photos rather than words explain the rest of the day.....

This was such an amazing challenge and so much fun. We couldn't have asked for better weather conditions and a great weekend. Between the 5 of us we raised about £1000 for British Red Cross.
